AI Trainer - Advanced Mandarin Fluency - USA
About the role
We are looking for fluent Mandarin speakers to help train the next generation of AI models through real conversation. You'll join live video calls with other Mandarin-speaking participants, chatting naturally about everyday topics while your conversation is used to help AI models better understand how people actually speak. This is a task-based, remote role with flexible scheduling—no fixed hours or minimum requirement.
Once you join the talent pool, you will complete a short language-skills assessment. Passing this assessment also opens the door to similar paid projects in the future. Researchers looking for these skills tend to pay up to $18/hour.
Responsibilities
- Have live, natural conversations in Mandarin with other participants over video call.
- Discuss everyday topics and let the conversation flow naturally—no scripts, no performance.
- Contribute to AI training by allowing your conversations to be recorded, helping models learn natural speech patterns, tone, and cultural nuance.
- Review task details, time estimates, and pay before deciding whether to take on a task.
Requirements
- Fluency in Mandarin (fully fluent speaker).
- Fluent English for instructions and reporting.
- Comfortable holding flowing conversations over video call with new people.
- Quiet environment and good-quality headphones/microphone for clear audio and accurate data collection.
- Friendly, easygoing, and comfortable talking with new people (backgrounds in teaching, interpreting, customer service, or linguistics are a plus).
Pay
Up to $18/hour.
