About the role
We're hiring Engineers dedicated to building AI-powered tools that change how work gets done inside the company. You'll embed with teams across operations, customer success, and finance, find the work that's slow and manual, and ship AI agents and automations that actually get adopted. This is a build-fast, talk-to-humans, own-the-problem role - not a research role and not a pure-infrastructure role. You'll define what "internal AI" looks like here from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Embed with operations, customer success, finance, and other internal teams to identify slow, manual work.
- Ship AI agents and automations that are adopted by business teams.
- Build tools such as: agents that draft customer success replies from knowledge base and ticket history; Slack-based workflows that route and pre-fill finance approvals; internal eval harness for LLM features; tools that let ops query internal systems in plain language.
- Partner closely with the CEO and founders to identify highest‑leverage operational problems and shape the internal AI roadmap.
- Work alongside functional leaders across the business to understand priorities, surface opportunities, and align on what to build.
- Prioritize highest‑impact projects, ship quickly, iterate based on feedback.
Requirements
- 13+ years building software backend services, internal tools, automations, or API-driven apps (internships and co-ops count).
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
- Experience building something with LLMs — e.g., an agent, RAG pipeline, copilot, or prompt‑driven tool (work, side project, or coursework).
- Comfortable wiring systems together: APIs, webhooks, SaaS integrations, async workflows.
- Able to talk to non‑technical stakeholders, understand their needs, and drive adoption.
- Thrives under ambiguity, moves fast, and iterates from real feedback.
Qualifications (Bonus)
- Built copilots, agents, or workflow automations before.
- Used an orchestration framework such as LangChain, Temporal, or similar.
- Worked with vector databases or retrieval systems.
