About the role
Build and scale the AI technology and solutions capability, transforming AI from an emerging technology capability into a repeatable, commercially viable set of industry solutions that can be sold and delivered to clients.
Responsibilities
- Define the AI vision, strategy, roadmap and capability-building plan.
- Establish the AI operating model, including architecture, engineering, data science, product and consulting capabilities.
- Build and lead a team of AI architects, engineers, data scientists, consultants and solution leaders.
- Develop AI talent through hiring, training, certifications and internal enablement.
- Create reusable methodologies, frameworks, accelerators and reference architectures.
- Identify high-value AI use cases specific to the ISU's clients and industry.
- Convert emerging technologies such as GenAI, agentic AI, RAG and intelligent automation into practical enterprise solutions.
- Develop packaged offerings that can be taken to market repeatedly rather than creating every solution from scratch.
- Establish AI solution roadmaps from strategy and business case through implementation and managed services.
- Act as a senior AI advisor to CIOs, CTOs, business executives and other client stakeholders.
- Lead AI strategy, transformation and solution-architecture engagements.
- Participate in executive workshops, discovery sessions, RFPs and client presentations.
- Help account teams identify AI opportunities within existing accounts.
- Build the AI pipeline jointly with ISU sales/account leaders.
- Create proposals, solution concepts, estimates and SOWs.
- Support opportunity qualification and solution selling.
- Develop relationships with strategic technology partners such as hyperscalers, model providers and AI platforms.
- Establish measurable AI revenue, pipeline and bookings targets.
- Create standardized delivery approaches and governance for AI programs.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, responsible and production-ready.
- Establish practices around AI governance, model evaluation, security, privacy and responsible AI.
- Ensure successful transition from prototype/POC to production and ongoing operations.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine their relevance to the ISU.
- Build prototypes and accelerators to demonstrate value to clients.
- Create reusable IP, frameworks, demos and solution assets.
- Establish relationships with startups, universities, hyperscalers and AI ecosystem partners.
