AI Solutions Engineer
About the role
Join Unanet’s AI Strategy & Operations team as an AI Solutions Engineer. You’ll design, build, deploy, and continuously improve AI agents, automations, and workflows that solve real business problems. You’ll partner with AI Enablement Strategists embedded within functions like Go-to-Market and Human Resources to identify and prioritize opportunities, while determining the best technical approach and bringing solutions to life.
Responsibilities
- Build AI agents, automations, workflow tools, and prompt systems against a prioritized backlog defined in partnership with AI Enablement Strategists.
- Work directly with end users throughout the build process, involving them in design, testing, and iteration.
- Own the technical approach for every solution you ship. Your Strategist partners determine what’s worth building; you determine how to build it.
- Stay engaged after deployment, gathering feedback from end users, tracking solution performance, and iterating based on insights.
- Contribute completed solutions to Unanet’s shared AI solution catalog, documenting them for others to adapt.
- Partner with the AI Strategy & Operations function and IT when solutions require data connections, API access, or technical resources beyond your capabilities.
- Participate in Unanet’s cross-functional builder community, sharing what’s working and growing the firm’s overall capability in AI.
- Provide post-deployment support to help end users get value from what you’ve built.
- Stay current on AI tools and techniques relevant to the functions you support.
Glean Platform Support
- Troubleshoot non-trivial Glean issues across the company, including administrative problems, data connection failures, and agents that aren’t behaving as expected.
- Prioritize the AI Enablement Strategists and the agents they’re building. Their work depends on Glean running well, so they come first when issues stack up.
- Build a self-service support agent that employees can use to resolve common, tier-one Glean questions on their own, so your time is reserved for the harder problems.
- Take the more complicated issues yourself, and partner with the AI Strategy & Operations function and IT when a fix requires data connections, access, or technical resources beyond what you can do alone.
Who You Are
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience building with AI tools: agents, automations, prompt systems, API integrations, or workflow tools.
- Experience working directly with end users to deploy and iterate on solutions, not just to deliver them.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting for end users: diagnosing problems, fixing them, and working an issue through to resolution.
- A strong understanding of how agents, data connections, and integrations behave in an AI platform, and the instinct to dig into why something broke.
- The ability to assess a business problem and design a practical technical approach, including knowing when a simple build is the right answer and when something more involved is required.
- A proven track record of deploying solutions that drive ongoing adoption and value.
- Able to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- A deep curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a commitment to staying current on new tools, techniques, and capabilities, applying them to solve real business problems.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of technology and operations, with a genuine interest in understanding how people work and where AI can create meaningful impact.
- Experience navigating complex organizational environments, building cross-functional relationships, and collaborating effectively with teams such as IT, Security, Legal, and Operations.
- The ability to balance innovation with governance, knowing when to challenge the status quo, when to work within established processes, and how to build trust while driving change.
Your Differentiators
- Experience working within or alongside enterprise or SaaS organizations, including navigating cross-functional dependencies, IT requirements, and organizational complexity.
- Familiarity with business operations workflows across functions such as go-to-market and HR, and the operational dynamics common to those areas.
- Experience building solutions structured for reuse: documented, adaptable, and usable by teams beyond the one you originally built for.
