AI Software Engineering Manager

About the role

The Development Manager will lead the integration of AI and machine learning into Trimble's ERP product suite, focusing on modernizing and streamlining ERP systems. This role requires strategic guidance, architectural expertise, and hands-on mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of Trimble's ERP product suite by integrating AI and machine learning into ERP business logic and financial workflows.
• Serve as the primary technical architect for global ERP systems, ensuring that emerging AI methodologies enhance the existing robust framework while maintaining high reliability.
• Translate customer needs into successful, delighting features by providing strategic guidance and architectural expertise.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise software development, with a focus on architecting and managing ERP business logic and financial modules.
• Expert knowledge of ERP system architectures, accounting workflows, and large-scale enterprise resource planning implementations.
• Proficient in C# and .NET Framework/Core, with extensive experience building robust, scalable back-end services for business-critical applications.
• Expert level proficiency in SQL Server, including complex query optimization, stored procedures, and managing legacy database schemas.
• Proven experience in API development, ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity across interconnected enterprise platforms.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality ERP enhancements and maintaining system stability.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly in an Azure environment.
• Previous experience with ERP product suites or construction industry accounting or project management software.
• Experience collaborating with Integration engineers to ensure seamless deployment and response quality in a user-friendly web application.

Skills

• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles and their application to ERP systems.
• Ability to navigate legacy database schemas while implementing cutting-edge RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and LLM-driven automation.
• Mentoring and guiding a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

Pay

This role is compensated between $144,600.00 and $198,800.00 annually, with the possibility of additional benefits and compensation contingent upon individual performance and company policy.
