AI SETA Systems Engineer/Remote

About the role

We are looking for an AI SETA (Scientific, Engineering & Technical Assistance) Systems Engineer to provide technical and systems engineering support for AI-enabled systems and related projects. The role involves requirements analysis, system integration, testing, technical documentation, and coordination with engineering and AI/ML teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and integration of AI-enabled systems.
• Analyze and document system and technical requirements.
• Support integration of AI/ML models with software, hardware, and data systems.
• Assist with system testing, validation, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Work with AI/ML, software, systems, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support system architecture, interface definition, and technical trade-off studies.
• Monitor system performance and assist with identifying areas for improvement.
• Prepare technical documentation, test plans, reports, and engineering specifications.
• Support system demonstrations, evaluations, and customer technical reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering, security, and quality standards.

Skills

• Understanding of systems engineering concepts and development lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts and applications.
• Familiarity with software development, APIs, databases, and system integration.
• Knowledge of Python or similar programming/scripting languages.
• Understanding of data processing, model deployment, and testing concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical communication and documentation skills.
