Glocomms is partnered with a leading biotech firm to identify a Senior AI Cybersecurity Engineer who will secure AI/ML systems across the full lifecycle, including model development, deployment, monitoring, and governance. This individual will partner closely with data science, platform engineering, product, and security teams to design secure AI architectures, identify emerging threats, and implement controls that enable the safe and responsible use of AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design security controls for AI/ML systems, including data workflows, model development environments, and production services.
- Perform risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify vulnerabilities across AI applications and machine learning technologies.
- Develop security automation, monitoring solutions, and detection capabilities to identify malicious activity, misuse, and emerging threats.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to embed security best practices throughout the software and model development lifecycle.
- Enhance the security of AI platforms, cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, deployment pipelines, and external AI integrations.
- Assist with security investigations and incident response efforts involving AI technologies and supporting systems.
- Help define and maintain governance frameworks, security standards, and policies supporting the responsible use of AI.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AI security architecture, secure design principles, and evolving threat landscapes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant cybersecurity or security engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in application, product, cloud, infrastructure, or security engineering roles.
- Experience securing cloud-native environments, applications, APIs, and production systems.
- Practical exposure to AI/ML technologies, MLOps platforms, LLM applications, vector databases, or generative AI solutions.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure CI/CD practices.
- Experience with AI security, threat modeling, security monitoring, and incident response is strongly preferred.
- Relevant security, cloud, or AI-focused certifications are a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of AI/ML security threats, including prompt injection, data poisoning, and model attacks.
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency in Python and other modern programming languages.
- Knowledge of application security, secure development, and security architecture.
- Experience with security monitoring, SIEM, and detection engineering.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, MLOps, and generative AI technologies.
- Understanding of AI governance frameworks and industry security standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks for diverse stakeholders.
