About the role
Senior AI/Python Engineer position with a direct client in the DMV area. W2 applicants only — no agencies or recruiters.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years overall IT, business intelligence, or data analytics experience (8 years is not sufficient for this lead-level role)
- Minimum 3+ years specifically in AI/Python development
- Python/AI engineering: chatbot development, backend AI utilization, AI-powered search
- Business Intelligence & reporting with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Product analytics: building dashboards to track product/feature performance
Preferred qualifications
- AWS Cloud experience
- Agentic AI experience
- General AI/data engineering background
- Healthcare domain experience (not required; a plus if all else equal)
- Candidates with a data/BI background who transitioned into Python/AI (preferred over pure developers)
