About the role

The Prompt + Skills Engineer is a hands-on builder in Cherry Bekaert’s AI Center of Excellence. This role transforms architectural designs into production-ready tools used by 3,000 professionals across various service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Writes, tests, and refines prompts for Tax, Assurance, Advisory, and Wealth Management use cases.
  • Maintains and manages Claude skills and workflow components, ensuring they are reliable and scalable.
  • Curate and organize the Firm’s prompt library, tagging entries for easy access and reuse.
  • Conducts quality assurance testing on AI outputs, focusing on accuracy, edge cases, hallucinations, and compliance.
  • Supports the Ambassador network by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance.
  • Collaborates with service line professionals to understand their workflows and translate them into prompts and skills.
  • Evaluates use case submissions for technical feasibility, effort estimates, and alignment with the production roadmap.
  • Monitors AI platform updates and assesses their impact on existing skills and workflows.
  • Develops and maintains AI training materials, including prompt examples, skill demonstrations, and technical reference guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in AI/ML platforms (e.g., Anthropic, Microsoft AI, AWS ML) are a plus.
  • Hands-on proficiency in prompt engineering, including writing, testing, and iterating prompts.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms and tools relevant to professional services (e.g., Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot).
  • An analytical mindset with attention to detail, particularly in evaluating AI output quality and conducting systematic testing.
  • A willingness to learn Cherry Bekaert’s Tax, Assurance, Advisory, and Wealth Management domains.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document and train others.

  • Strong process orientation with the ability to follow established architectural standards and manage version control.
  • Collaborative working style suited to a small, cross-functional team, comfortable engaging with service line professionals and technical colleagues.
