AI Product Owner

Job Title: AI Product Owner Location: Philadelphia, PA Employment Type: C2C / Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-powered products and solutions.. The ideal candidate will have strong product management experience combined with a solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and data-driven products. The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, architects, and UX teams to define product vision, prioritize features, and deliver scalable AI solutions aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for AI-driven products. Translate business problems and customer needs into clear AI/ML product requirements and user stories. Work closely with Data Science, AI/ML Engineering, Data Engineering, and Technology teams to define solutions. Prioritize product features based on business value, customer impact, technical feasibility, and risk. Define epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements. Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate with AI/ML teams on use cases involving Generative AI, LLMs, predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decisioning. Understand AI model capabilities, limitations, data requirements, model performance, and business impact. Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and success metrics for AI products. Coordinate UAT, product validation, release planning, and production adoption. Identify and manage product risks related to AI governance, data privacy, security, bias, explainability, and compliance. Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership. Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for product innovation. Required Skills 8–10 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business/Product Analysis. Strong experience working as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments. Hands-on experience working with AI/ML or Generative AI products. Strong understanding of LLMs, GenAI, AI/ML use cases, and AI-driven applications. Experience defining product roadmaps, backlogs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience collaborating with engineering, data science, and architecture teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience defining product KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements. Preferred Skills Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, or conversational AI. Experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS AI/ML, or Google Cloud AI. Knowledge of the machine learning model development and deployment lifecycle. Experience with data products, analytics platforms, or enterprise applications. Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI, data security, and privacy. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile platforms. Product Owner, CSPO, SAFe, or similar certification is a plus.
