AI Product Manager

About the role

We are seeking an AI Product Manager to lead the strategy, definition, and execution of AI-powered features that transform how healthcare organizations manage their contingent workforce. This role is ideal for someone who actively uses AI in their product workflow and can shape AI integration into a large-scale SaaS platform. The position is available remotely or hybrid in Dallas.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product strategy: Identify opportunities where AI/ML can create value for customers, from workforce forecasting to smarter workflows.
• Shape features end-to-end: Translate AI concepts into intuitive user experiences and partner with design and engineering to deliver high-impact functionality.
• Be an AI practitioner: Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Bard, Jasper) daily for research, writing, and decision support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with data science, engineering, customer success, and clinical experts to define requirements, validate use cases, and ensure ethical AI practices.
• Customer obsession: Conduct discovery with healthcare administrators, staffing agencies, and clinicians to uncover problems AI can solve.
• Data-driven product management: Define success metrics, run experiments, and measure adoption and impact of AI features.
• Educate & evangelize: Help internal teams and customers understand how AI shapes Shiftwise's roadmap and product vision.
• Evaluate market trends and competitors to identify product improvement opportunities, including timelines and specific features.
• Deliver the operating plan to achieve growth objectives, including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment.
• Develop product briefs and define achievable acceptance criteria.
• Monitor sprint progress and resolve issues related to details or information.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and practices.

Requirements

• 4-7+ years in product management (SaaS or enterprise preferred), with at least 1 year building or managing AI-powered features.
• Hands-on experience using AI/ML in daily product workflows (prompt engineering, prototyping with LLMs, data analysis, etc.).
• Customer-first mindset with proven ability to gather insights, run discovery, and translate needs into solutions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare or workforce management is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office or home-office environment.

Pay

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location. Salary range: $113,500 - $134,500.
