AI Operations Engineer
Job Summary
DNSFilter is seeking an AI Operations Engineer to build and ship internal AI tools and agents that enhance efficiency and reduce reliance on external SaaS solutions. This role requires strong hands-on experience with LLM tooling, Python, and TypeScript, as well as proven ability to integrate third-party APIs and manage security-sensitive data.

Responsibilities
- Build and ship Claude plugins, skills, and MCP connectors (Python and TypeScript) that automate work across the company
- Maintain and monitor the deployed fleet of MCP gateway connectors, plugin marketplace, and fix breakages quickly
- Turn groomed specifications into working, monitored tools and help groom the intake queue of requests from across the company
- Partner directly with departments such as Finance, HR, Sales, Support, and Engineering on time-boxed, embedded builds
- Contribute light data work as needed: SQL queries and reporting
- Accelerate learning and productivity using AI, and advocate for AI across DNSFilter
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with LLM tooling: Claude, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), agents, and prompt/context engineering
- 3+ years building software with Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, LLMs) to ship faster
- Experience integrating third-party REST APIs and building reusable, well-documented components or services
- A strong security-first mindset when handling sensitive business data through governed connectors and integrations
- Experience and ability to work autonomously, shape ambiguous requests into specs, and know when to escalate
- Experience integrating common business SaaS tools via their APIs
- Remote work capability with overlap to 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Timezone
Bonus Points
- SQL and data modeling experience
- Prior internal-tools, platform, or automation engineering experience
- Experience with the Anthropic API, agent frameworks, or building MCP servers
- DNS protocol or cybersecurity domain knowledge

Pay
The hiring base pay is dependent on several factors, including level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and geographic location. As a hybrid company, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. and global geographic markets. We pay differently based on those defined markets.
