About the role

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and committed support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success.

We are looking for a Generative AI/Machine Learning (genAI/ML) Solutions Architect to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for helping customers design solutions leveraging AWS GenAI services, including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Q. As part of the team, you will work closely with customers to enable large-scale use cases, design GenAI pipelines, and drive the adoption of AWS for AI/ML platforms.

You will interact with other Solutions Architects in the field, providing guidance on customer engagements, and develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers to fully leverage genAI on AWS. Additionally, you will act as the voice of the customer, working closely with service teams to submit product feature requests and drive platform improvements.

Travel up to 30% across the United States may be possible.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers’ development and data science teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs, then design solutions that leverage AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Lex, Amazon Personalize, and other AI/ML services.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment for Amazon SageMaker and related GenAI services in the Americas.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by evangelizing AWS ML services and sharing best practices through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent).
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and AWS service teams (e.g., SageMaker) to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
  • Develop and support an internal AWS community of GenAI subject matter experts in the Americas.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data, or analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
  • Deep technical experience working with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or deep learning technologies.
  • Strong mathematics and statistics background, with experience building machine learning models (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the ecosystem of software vendors in the GenAI space and the ability to guide customers in their selection process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.

About the Team

AWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet all preferred qualifications. We foster an inclusive culture that empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Our teams thrive on curiosity, connection, and innovation, supported by employee-led affinity groups and inclusion events.

Benefits
