AI/ML Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize machine learning models for real-world and national security and defense applications
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for model training and deployment
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
• Conduct research to explore new AI/ML techniques and stay updated on the latest industry advancements
• Evaluate model performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune solutions for optimal results
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java, with expertise in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models into production environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for AI/ML workflows
• Familiarity with data wrangling, ETL pipelines, and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)

Nice to Have

• Experience with specific AI domains, such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning
• Understanding of MLOps principles and tools like MLflow or Kubeflow
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
• Published research or patents in the AI/ML space
• Technical leadership experience
