AI/ML Platform Architect

About the role

This senior-level role defines enterprise AI/ML platform patterns, MLOps frameworks, and responsible AI standards to enable scalable, ethical deployment of machine learning. The AI/ML Platform Architect partners with data science, platform, and security teams to drive AI adoption and focuses on creating reusable templates and governance models for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in Newark, NJ two days per month.

Responsibilities

• Define ML platform reference architectures and MLOps patterns.
• Create model deployment templates for real-time, batch, and streaming inference.
• Establish model governance, versioning, and monitoring frameworks.
• Develop GenAI and LLM integration patterns (RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering).
• Build responsible AI frameworks including bias detection and explainability.
• Define feature store, data prep, and experimentation standards.
• Develop AI/ML modernization roadmaps and train architects and data scientists.

Requirements

• 7+ years in AI/ML architecture or data science.
• 5+ years creating ML platform and MLOps frameworks.
• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, and production-scale ML deployment.
• Expertise in SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI, and model serving infrastructure.

Cloud ML certifications and TOGAF preferred.
