AI/ML Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions for production environments
• Implement and optimize machine learning and generative AI models
• Develop scalable AI pipelines, APIs, and automation workflows
• Collaborate with data scientists, model owners, data engineers, and product teams to integrate AI into business applications
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve model accuracy, reliability and efficiency

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and May 2028
• Plan to graduate after the final day of the internship
• Foundational understanding of ML frameworks, Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, SQL and database concepts
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership through coursework, projects, student organizations, employment, or community involvement

Skills

• Experience building production AI or machine learning applications
• Exposure to MLOps practices
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and pipelines
• Coursework or project experience involving software development
• Understanding of Agile development concepts
• Interest in AI-assisted development and emerging technologies

Pay

Compensation range: $26.50 - $36.00 per hour. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Schedule

Internship runs from June 2, 2027 through August 13, 2027. Position is based in Plano, TX.
