About The Role
The AI/ML Engineer Intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts to real-world engineering challenges. Working alongside experienced engineers and researchers, you will contribute to the development, evaluation, and optimization of AI/ML solutions while gaining hands-on experience with modern tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, training, and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models.
- Support data preparation, analysis, and model performance assessment activities.
- Contribute to AI/ML research, experimentation, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Help optimize and deploy machine learning models for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop AI-driven solutions.
- Document technical findings, methodologies, and project outcomes.
Must-Have Skills
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Academic, research, or project experience involving AI, machine learning, deep learning, or data analytics.
- Exposure to model optimization, edge AI, computer vision, signal processing, or related technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA, C/C++, or similar development frameworks.
Pay
The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $22 to $41. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
