AI Language Expert - Italian

About the Role

We're looking for Italian language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Italian-language content. Your linguistic insight and teaching background will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches Italian — making a real impact on one of the world's most celebrated languages.

Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Italian speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert precision
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally authentic Italian
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Italian
• Experience teaching Italian or evaluating learner language
• Strong written communication skills in both Italian and English (C1/C2)
• Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

• Experience in language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Familiarity with AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
