AI Language Expert - French

About The Role

We're looking for French language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on French-language content. Your linguistic insight and teaching background will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches French — making a real impact on one of the world's most widely spoken and studied languages.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate French
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in French
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language
• Strong written communication skills in both French and English (C1/C2)
• Solid understanding of CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Familiarity with AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
