AI Language Expert - Chinese

About the Role

We're looking for Chinese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems built for Chinese language learning and communication. Your linguistic insight and teaching experience will directly shape how AI understands, assesses, and responds to Chinese learners — making a real impact on one of the world's most widely spoken languages.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated Chinese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and gaps in pedagogical approach
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language
• Fully fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
• Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
