AI Generalist

About the role

Cortrucent is creating a new kind of IT role, and we want to find the right person early in their career. As an AI Generalist, you will use leading AI platforms (Claude, Gemini, Meta Llama, ChatGPT and in-house models) to help build, test, troubleshoot and operationalize technology across application development, cybersecurity and infrastructure. You will work in many areas of technology, learn directly from senior team members and make real contributions to client deliverables and internal operations from day one. This position is onsite at our Berlin, NJ office, minimum 40 hours per week, reporting to the CIO, Data and Engineering. We welcome recent graduates or those with 0–2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, run and refine prompts and AI workflows to accelerate deliverables
• Support testing, QA, bug fixes and feature enhancements
• Help troubleshoot issues across applications, security tools and infrastructure
• Document processes and help train team members on AI tools
• Research new AI platforms and share what you learn
• Opportunity to work across the entire technology stack

Requirements

• A degree in a technology field, or equivalent hands-on experience (bootcamps, personal projects, internships)
• Any exposure to React, Next.js, SQL, Linux, Git or AI platforms is a plus
• Commitment to continuous learning, training and industry certifications (required)
• Onsite at Cortrucent offices in Berlin, NJ, a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Willingness to work beyond standard hours during client deliverables, incidents and project deadlines
• We strongly encourage you to share a portfolio, GitHub profile or project examples

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in AI & Security (bonus)
• Exceptional work ethic, strong drive and passion for technology
• Self-starter who figures things out, takes ownership and delivers results without excuses

Pay

Salary $60,000 – $80,000 per year

Schedule

Full-time, onsite in Berlin, NJ, minimum 40 hours per week. Workload regularly extends beyond standard hours during client deliverables, incidents and project deadlines.
