About the role
The AI Finance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. This role leverages deep expertise in finance applications, data management, and machine learning to support key finance personas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the EY AI Finance service offering, focusing on creating an industry-agnostic data model for finance applications.
- Work closely with the Data Lead and Product Owner to ensure the EY AI Finance Blueprint is designed on a solid foundation of finance application data architecture.
- Interact with business stakeholders to evaluate business models, processes, and operations, gathering and analyzing business requirements to translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide in-depth analysis related to the implementation, customization, and optimization of specific technology platforms.
- Lead workstream delivery, ensuring processes and solutions are managed effectively while maintaining a focus on quality and risk management.
- Engage with clients daily, participate in planning and execution, and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Lead the delivery of complex technical initiatives, ensuring accountability for performance and results.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree and approximately five years of related work experience, or a graduate degree in a related field with approximately four years of related work experience. They should have minimum 4 years of experience in data management, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling. Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and master data management, is required. Experience with machine learning techniques, gen AI technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL, Python) is essential. Knowledge of finance applications, including financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), is necessary. Proficiency in data integration, data transformation, and data modeling tools and techniques is also required. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are important. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with relevant experience in finance data management, including data modeling and ML.

- Lead the design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.
- Develop and implement the FDL Blueprint solution offering, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with data scientists and finance SMEs across service lines to identify opportunities for applying machine learning and gen AI techniques to finance applications/personas and extend the FDL.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, gen AI, data management, and Azure technologies and identify and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and insights for finance applications.

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
