About the role

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer with strong expertise in Python and AWS Bedrock AgentCore to design, develop, and deploy AI Agent solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience building agentic AI applications, integrating foundation models, developing APIs, and implementing scalable AI architectures on AWS. The role involves working closely with product, data engineering, and business teams to build intelligent assistants, autonomous agents, RAG solutions, workflow automation capabilities, and AI-powered business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock and AWS Bedrock AgentCore
  • Develop scalable backend services and AI workflows using Python
  • Implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources
  • Integrate Foundation Models (Claude, Nova, Llama, etc.) through AWS Bedrock
  • Develop prompt engineering, tool-calling, memory management, and agent orchestration capabilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions
  • Optimize model performance, latency, scalability, and cost
  • Implement monitoring, observability, security, and governance controls for AI applications
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and production deployments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience building Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions
  • Strong expertise in Python and AWS Bedrock AgentCore
  • AWS certifications are highly desirable
  • Experience working in Insurance, Financial Services, or Enterprise Data Platforms is a plus
  • Experience with Databricks (preferred)

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations.
