AI Engineer - Trust & Explainability (AI Platform)

For our client, we are seeking a AI Engineer - Trust & Explainability (AI Platform) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on building the core tracing, evaluation, and explanation capabilities that help make AI systems more transparent and trustworthy. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to create platform primitives that improve visibility into agent behavior and support better developer and customer understanding. The work will center on multi-agent workflows, observability, and tools that compare model and prompt performance in a production environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Build multi-agent tracing capabilities across the platform's components Correlate actions across agents in workflows, including handoffs and retries Create developer-facing trace views for agent conversations Develop an explanation layer for agent actions Design platform primitives for customer-facing agent trust and explanations Evaluate and integrate open-source monitoring frameworks into the platform Build and maintain evaluation tooling for model and prompt comparisons Qualifications 3+ years of software engineering experience in production environments Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design Proficiency with Git, Docker, and automated testing Daily use of AI-assisted development tools Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Hands-on experience with large language models integration Proficiency in Python; TypeScript is a plus Experience with distributed tracing or observability tools Benefits Opportunities for professional growth alongside experienced engineering leads Access to cutting-edge AI technologies and frameworks Collaborative environment that values design discussions and constructive feedback Involvement in cross-functional projects with product teams to shape user experiences Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
