About the Role

The AI Engineer helps design, build, and deploy the company's AI and automation capability. This is a hands-on role for someone who can help automate/streamline operational functions through AI. Working directly with leadership and department owners, the AI Engineer turns real office and field operational workflows into streamlined and/or automated processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build internal AI tooling and automation, including LLM-powered applications, agents, and workflow automations that streamline day-to-day operations across departments.
• Develop internal quality control processes for billing and other workflows.
• Partner with department leaders to scope needs, prototype quickly, and deliver production-ready tools.
• Assist connecting technology and workstreams with AI tools.
• Ensure solutions are secure, well-documented, and maintainable, with appropriate attention to data privacy and access controls.
• Support the broader technology roadmap as the company grows through new markets and acquisitions.

Position Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience, including significant hands-on work building and shipping AI, machine learning, or automation solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own projects end to end and set technical direction with minimal oversight.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and experience building and integrating APIs.
• Practical experience with LLMs and modern AI tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between business needs and technical solutions.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position based in our Encino, California office.
