AI Engineer, New Grad

About the role

As an AI Engineer, New Grad at Jobright, you will help develop, integrate, and evaluate AI-powered features used by real job seekers. You’ll build production AI agents that directly impact users and shape how people experience AI-driven job search.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered features for search, recommendations, and personalization
• Experiment with prompts, embeddings, retrieval, and LLM APIs
• Create evaluation datasets and measure model quality
• Integrate AI capabilities into reliable product systems
• Investigate model failures, latency, and performance issues
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or graduating soon in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Strong Python programming skills
• Understanding of machine learning, NLP, or information retrieval fundamentals
• Familiarity with APIs, Git, data processing, and debugging
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work remotely

Preferred

• Experience with LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, or model evaluation
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
• Experience building AI prototypes or data pipelines
• Knowledge of recommendation systems, search, or ranking
• Interest in AI agents and consumer AI products
