AI Engineer, Junior

In this role, you’ll contribute to mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll use your development experience to streamline our software development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, cloud resources, and large language models to reduce tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting of artificial intelligence capabilities. Responsibilities
- Apply best-fit ML algorithms and technologies to contribute to mission-critical solutions
- Streamline the software development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production
- Incorporate open-source tools, automation, cloud resources, and large language models to reduce manual, repetitive tasks
- Implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting of AI capabilities
- Develop software that improves national security and transforms cyber infrastructure
- Help clients navigate ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks for cyber threat hunting and defensive cyberspace operations
Requirements
- Experience operating in a software development environment
- Experience leading a team to deliver services to customers
- Experience in scripting, including Python, SQL, and API-driven architectures
- Knowledge of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
- Knowledge of enterprise search technologies such as Elasticsearch
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have
- Experience developing AI Agents and multi-agent architectures
- Experience working with modern data platforms, including Databricks, Apache Spark, or Snowflake
- Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams, and multitask on multiple products and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work model expectations:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as required by the role.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
