AI Engineer I
About the role
The AI Engineer I integrates pre-built AI/ML models into production applications, working on system infrastructure to ensure reliable operation and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Build practical AI solutions using modern software engineering, data, and cloud-based AI tools.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, data analysts, automation engineers, and business stakeholders to develop AI-enabled applications and generative AI solutions.
- Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-enabled applications and automation workflows.
- Work closely with the Technical Product Owner to implement and maintain AI solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Familiarity with Python, data and machine learning libraries, machine learning concepts, generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and model evaluation practices.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Tools: Experience with Claude, Bedrock, OpenAI, Snowflake, or related cloud-native development tools.
- Other: Basic understanding of retrieval-augmented generation concepts, familiarity with Git, agile delivery practices, technical documentation, and collaborative development workflows.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI solutions and/or relevant IT experience in regulated or enterprise environments such as finance or healthcare.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn new AI tools, frameworks, and development patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.

Pay
A good faith estimate of the current pay range is $78,064 to $117,095.
The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).
