AI Engineer – GenAI / Agentic AI

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer – GenAI / Agentic AI to design, develop, and deploy production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions. This position is focused on production AI engineering, including LLM evaluation, observability, agent tool calling, scalable AI services, data pipelines, and complex troubleshooting. Location: Plano, TX 75075. Work arrangement: Hybrid — 3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Develop LLM evaluation frameworks using golden datasets, regression testing, scoring, and quality thresholds.
• Track evaluation results and quality trends.
• Implement observability for LLM pipelines, including logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, latency, errors, and token/cost analysis.
• Design AI agent tool-calling capabilities including function calling, schemas, guardrails, and structured outputs.
• Develop scalable AI services and data pipelines.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Build APIs and AI integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop reliable production AI solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and/or GenAI experience.
• Strong Generative AI/LLM experience.
• Strong Agentic AI experience.
• Hands-on LangGraph and LangChain experience.
• Production LLM deployment experience.
• Strong Python.
• PySpark.
• Databricks.
• Delta Lake.
• NoSQL.
• Azure Cloud.
• API development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Creative approach to solving complex Agentic AI problems.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Local to Plano, TX and able to work onsite 3 days/week.

Pay

$40 W2/hour. Contract: 3 Months, Possible Extension.
