About the role
Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an AI & Engineering Data Intern to support emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and Digital Thread initiatives within the Capital PreSales organization. This Spring 2027 Strategic Student Program opportunity provides hands-on experience applying AI and data technologies to real-world engineering challenges across the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries. The role combines engineering, software, data management, analytics, and AI to develop engineering datasets, investigate AI-assisted workflows, build reusable data models, and support customer-facing demonstrations and internal capabilities. Successful candidates will be students who are interested in applying emerging technologies to practical engineering problems and working collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and curate engineering datasets for AI, analytics, and demonstration use cases.
- Support AI and Generative AI proof-of-concepts involving engineering and Digital Thread data.
- Assist in connecting systems, software, and electrical engineering information into reusable data models.
