This role focuses on accelerating AI adoption by embedding with business units, shadowing workflows, and developing solutions. The engineer will work at the intersection of engineering and business, ensuring that AI capabilities meet the daily needs of the firm. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and the cultivation of a data-driven culture within Blackstone. Requirements 1+ years in an AI engineering, software engineering, or data analysis role.Fluency in Python and SQL for interacting with data and data warehouses.Applied experience with LLMs and AI tooling, including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.Demonstrated experience shipping and maintaining production systems under real user load.Proficiency in developing within proper software development lifecycle tools, such as version control and CI/CD tools.Experience working directly with non-technical business stakeholders to elicit requirements.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics. Responsibilities Embed with business units by shadowing live workflows and engaging AI power users.Translate observed workflow friction into a prioritized pipeline of self-service quick wins and larger platform initiatives.Develop and maintain production software solutions using Python and SQL.Use code deployment best practices, including change control and cloud deployment technologies.Build and extend applied AI solutions and scale adoption through validated self-service runbook and prompt libraries.Promote and cultivate a culture of data analytics, science, and AI within the firm.Lead multiple concurrent projects and collaborate effectively with the broader BXTI organization.
