AI Engineer (AI Prompting Delivery Lead)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer / AI Prompting Delivery Lead to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Artificial Intelligence solutions. This role focuses on prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud-based AI application development. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills, experience with Azure OpenAI and AWS cloud services, and the ability to lead AI initiatives from concept through implementation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of prompt engineering strategies for enterprise AI solutions.
• Design, develop, and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Build AI-powered applications using Python and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead technical delivery of AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications and business processes.
• Optimize machine learning models and prompt engineering techniques.
• Manage cloud infrastructure supporting AI applications.
• Translate technical concepts into business-friendly solutions for stakeholders.
• Support Agile software development and project delivery.
• Document AI solutions, technical processes, and implementation best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience.
• Active IRS MBI clearance.
• Current Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE).
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI.
• Experience developing AI applications using Python.
• Strong knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with prompt engineering and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong project leadership and delivery experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
