AI Development and Implementation Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Development and Implementation Team Lead to establish and grow an AI-focused IT team. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in AI-driven process optimization. Experience with financial products is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and growth of the AI Development and Implementation team from the ground up.
• Develop and oversee AI initiatives targeting loan origination, servicing, risk assessment, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including operations, finance, and compliance—to identify areas where AI can add measurable value.
• Design, implement, and monitor AI models and solutions, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
• Translate complex AI concepts into actionable business insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a technical team, preferably in AI or advanced analytics.
• Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and scaling AI/ML solutions in the context of financial services.
• Familiarity with mortgage lending, loan servicing, or related financial products.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting AI in financial services.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading AI initiatives from concept to production.
• Practical understanding of platforms and frameworks, such as Python, API OpenAI (GPT-4O), Anthropic (Claude 3.5), Google (Gemini), DeepSeek and etc.
