AI Data Engineer

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, with an annual compensation range of $120,000 to $140,000. The position focuses on building and managing data infrastructure for AI and machine learning workloads, requiring expertise in distributed computing, data modeling, and the machine learning lifecycle.

What you will do

• Design and implement data pipelines and feature engineering processes for AI applications.
• Manage data warehousing and structured/unstructured data using SQL.
• Utilize Databricks, Apache Spark, and distributed computing for ML workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and architects to support model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and adherence to AI ethics principles.
• Apply knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and similarity search for AI use cases.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML workloads.
• Expert proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Strong understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in SQL for structured and unstructured data management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to data quality.
• Excellent collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
