Box (NYSE:BOX) is the leader in Intelligent Content Management. Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. We help companies thrive in the new AI-first era of business. Founded in 2005, Box simplifies work for leading global organizations, including JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

About the role

We're hiring an AI-native creator to put Box into the live AI conversation every day. This is not a social media manager role. You're already perpetually online in the AI discourse — you follow the model releases, you know which arguments matter and which are noise, and you have takes that people reply to. Your job is to bring Box into those conversations as a participant, in the moment, without waiting to be asked.

Responsibilities

  • Be in the conversation
    • Post and reply from Box's channels and your own — daily, reactively, in threads that are already happening.
    • Comment on other people's work: model releases, research, benchmarks, arguments in the timeline. With something worth reading, not brand messaging.
    • Spot what's moving early and act on it. If something is happening and Box has an angle, you're already in it.
    • Hold a clear point of view: what matters, what's overhyped, and what enterprise leaders should actually do about it.
  • Make things travel
    • Publish original, platform-native content — posts, threads, short commentary, lightweight video — built to stand alone. The value lives in the post, not behind a link.
    • Turn what Box already has — research findings, interviews, technical detail, customer stories — into native formats that earn attention on their own terms.
    • Clip and repurpose produced video into platform-native cuts so long-form work travels further than YouTube and the blog.
    • Own format experimentation on both channels: what works now, not what worked two years ago.
  • Feed the editorial plan
    • Be Box's most plugged-in observer of the AI conversation. Spot what's gaining traction, identify where Box has a credible angle, and surface it before anyone has to ask.
    • Bring signal back to the content team: recurring questions, misconceptions, emerging narratives.
    • Identify which fast-moving topics deserve something more durable — an explainer, a reference page, a point-of-view piece — and feed those into the editorial plan.

Guardrails and autonomy

Real autonomy, within guardrails. You'll have freedom to follow and lead the conversation day to day. You'll work in the context of Box's positioning and marketing goals. You'll coordinate with campaign and launch teams, but your agenda isn't set by their deliverables.

What success looks like

  • Box is visibly present in the AI conversation every week, with posts people reference, respond to, and share.
  • Credibility signals from the people who matter: substantive engagement from researchers, builders, practitioners and enterprise leaders. Repeat interactions with respected voices. Inbound requests to collaborate.
  • Box is early to the conversations that matter rather than late to them.
  • A steady pipeline of ideas that become anchor explainers, point-of-view pieces, and reference content.
  • Produced video reaches audiences that YouTube and the blog alone never would.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements
    • You're already in the conversation. You follow the labs, you understand the live debates on inference, agent behavior, post-training and enterprise adoption, and you can hold your own with the people building this. Everything else in this role depends on it.
    • Strong editorial judgment. You know what's important, not just what's trending.
    • You move fast without losing credibility. On these channels, speed without credibility is worse than silence.
  • Preferred
    • You've worked somewhere that being credible on AI in public was part of the job.
    • A following or a recognizable niche is a signal of credibility, not a requirement. What matters is being embedded in the conversation, not having a personal brand you'd prioritize over Box's.
    • Comfort on camera.
    • Familiarity with enterprise technology.

Schedule

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Pay

Redwood City Pay Range: $125,500 USD - $157,000 USD. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
