About the role
At Ring we build with AI first, meaning AI is not only a tool but the way we work. Documentation, Design, Code, and day to day tasks utilize AI to provide the quickest most efficient means of software delivery. We are seeking an AI First Software Builder to create services and applications to support the Ring team. You will work in partnership with the Ring Alarm Team, Ring Smart Lighting Team, the Cloud Guild, Product Management, and key leadership.

Responsibilities
- Work across the organization to present and deliver high quality solutions quickly
- Write high quality distributed system software for large scale applications, managing high TPS >10,000/second
- Work with product management and cross functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
- Work with other team members to architect and design approaches
- Prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
- Take ownership of large components
- Drive best practices and engineering excellence
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Pay
- USA, CA, Hawthorne: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $165,200.00 - $223,600.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
