AI Automation Engineer (Remote, Buenos Aires)

About the Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As an AI Automation Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models; you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools that reduce manual hours across design and development production processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and the internal CMS.
• Implement MCP server integrations as part of the broader AI stack.

Requirements

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US‑based team.
