About the role

The QA Copilot is an AI-driven tool within TestCollab designed to assist in generating and executing test cases for web applications. It leverages AI for test case generation from requirements or screenshots, with human review before implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver with Java
  • Build and maintain robust API test automation frameworks using Rest Assured
  • Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and provide detailed reports
  • Ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality metrics are met
  • Continuously improve automation processes and adopt best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

Requirements

  • Strong programming experience in Java
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience in API testing using Rest Assured
  • Solid understanding of: Test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, Design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with: CI/CD tools and pipelines, JSON/XML, HTTP protocols and RESTful services
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-time professional software development experience, including experience owning and delivering medium-to-large technical projects
  • Strong backend engineering fundamentals and experience building reliable, maintainable distributed systems in production
  • Lead with ownership and initiative: identify ambiguity, propose practical paths forward, and help teams make steady progress through changing requirements

  • Demonstrates fluency with AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 per year
