AI Architect - Internal Business Applications

For our client, we are seeking a AI Architect - Internal Business Applications to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will shape the architectural direction for internal AI capabilities that improve how enterprise teams work, decide, and automate. You will define the patterns, governance, and technical guardrails that support scalable and secure AI adoption across the organization. Working closely with business, security, data, and technology stakeholders, you will translate operational needs into reliable AI-enabled solutions and roadmaps. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Define and maintain architectural vision and governance for AI capabilities. Develop reference architectures for AI runtimes and security controls. Establish non-functional requirements for reliability and compliance. Translate business needs into scalable AI solution architectures. Design secure intelligent automation and decision-support solutions. Establish data integration strategies and governance practices. Develop APIs and foundational capabilities for AI adoption. Partner with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and implementation roadmaps. Contribute to MLOps and LLMOps capabilities for model governance. Lead change management efforts for AI-enabled solutions. Qualifications 8+ years in software architecture, platform engineering, or AI/ML systems design. 4+ years deploying production-scale AI systems, including large language models. Deep expertise in modern AI architectures and workflow design. Proven success in designing enterprise-scale systems focused on reliability and scalability. Strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
