We are seeking an AI and Trading Analytics Researcher to join the AI and Trading Analytics team within State Street Associates, an investment research division of State Street Global Markets. This role focuses on developing advanced data-driven analytic solutions for internal teams in the Global Markets business, requiring collaboration across research, technology, and trading functions.

About the role

The position involves direct technical design and coding implementation of research-driven solutions, with projects centered on advanced data modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will engage internal clients in a consultative manner and deliver polished materials to drive engagement and adoption. The team is headquartered in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and test quantitative models to meet specific trading business needs.
  • Develop code, product specifications, and processes for implementation.
  • Work directly with subject area experts across Global Markets businesses to document needs, prototype ideas, and deliver products.
  • Apply statistics, advanced prediction, machine learning/AI, and other techniques to rigorously test models, strategies, and data-driven processes.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and/or proven experience in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in investment management, investment research, data science, or a similar field involving quantitative techniques.
  • Strong familiarity with data analytics for investing, statistical analysis, time series forecasting, classical statistics, and machine learning/AI.
  • Strong familiarity with investment management, asset allocation, risk management, and investment strategy design.
  • Highly proficient coding skills (Python preferred) and attention to detail.
  • Highly effective communication skills and ability to collaborate successfully.

Pay

$175,000 Annual
