About the role

Randstad Digital is an AI Automation Specialist for an exciting opportunity in Kansas City. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional business groups to bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and operational execution-translating business requirements into practical, automated solutions.

What You'll Do

• Build & Deploy AI Agents: Utilize generative AI and coding tools (Claude Code, CoPilot, Codex, ChatGPT) to build automations and deploy interconnected AI agent workflows.
• Bridge Business & Tech: Partner directly with diverse business teams to understand their unique pain points and select/customize the right AI tools for the job.
• Technical Integration: Assist with proposal technicalities, write Python scripts, and run data queries to refine information and connect multi-agent loops.
• Leverage Existing Frameworks: Work alongside a dedicated innovation team to build upon an established library of vetted tools and cloud infrastructure (Azure primary, GCP a plus).

What We're Looking For

• Hands-On AI Experience: Proven experience using advanced AI tools to prompt effectively, build functional automations, and stand up agentic systems. (Work samples or portfolio examples are highly encouraged!)
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Python scripting, data querying, and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for consulting non-technical stakeholders to demystify AI tools and identify practical use cases.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment and loves tackling diverse operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal business customers to understand data, automation, and reporting needs, and translate them into working solutions.
• Use AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, and similar) to prompt effectively, build automations, and stand up AI agents that solve real business problems.
• Write and optimize SQL for data analysis, reporting, and light data modeling work.
• Apply basic Python scripting with the support of AI tools to build automation and analysis tasks.
• Collaborate with software developers to help scale, harden, and operationalize applications that started as rapid prototypes or "vibe coded" apps.
• Work within GitHub and VS Code as part of the standard development workflow.
• Operate comfortably across cloud environments, including Azure, GCP, and AWS, as engagements require.
• Act as a go-to resource for internal teams with a customer-first mindset looking to apply AI tooling to everyday data and automation challenges.

Pay

Salary: $31.00 - 37.45 per hour. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
