The AI Advisor assists the development team and the broader Nixon Peabody community in leveraging the firm’s AI infrastructure and solutions. This role involves consulting, teaching, advising, testing, and driving success in AI efforts to deliver cutting-edge, time-saving capabilities to attorneys and clients. A remote work arrangement is available.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI training programs.
- Work with AI models using diverse datasets.
- Contribute to the firm’s data-driven approach, including data hygiene and analysis.
- Evaluate and optimize AI initiatives for accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI performance and results.
- Stay current on the latest developments in AI technology.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Document processes and findings.
- Conduct training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI, training workflows, and product development.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in training AI models and writing prompts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven ability to work directly with lawyers and paralegals.
- Demonstrable experience focused on transactional work, litigation work, or both.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms.
- Experience in training AI models and writing prompts.
- Familiarity with AI front ends (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python preferred).
- Experience in data analysis.
Qualifications
- Legal background preferred, which may include experience in legal practice, holding a JD in a non-traditional legal career path, working as a paralegal, or relevant legal industry experience (e.g., legal software vendors).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Pay
Anticipated annual salary ranges by location:
- Rochester, NY: $107,000 to $158,950
- Boston, MA: $118,000 to $174,900
- Chicago, IL: $118,000 to $174,900
- Los Angeles, CA: $118,000 to $174,900
- Washington, DC: $118,000 to $174,900
- Long Island, NY: $129,500 to $192,500
- New York, NY: $129,500 to $192,500
This role may also be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on factors such as work performance, geographic location, experience, education, and qualifications.
