AHA Instructor Flex

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide CHCO Staff and Providers with AHA PALS, ACLS, and BLS certification courses, including AHA Instructor courses, in accordance with the AHA guidelines.
• Provide CHCO staff and Providers with any additional Life Support educational courses in related area of resuscitation.
• Cook up, manage, and schedule course, manage registrations, and manage instructor assignments for AHA Courses
• Manage, maintain, and update Life support equipment and supplies, keeps equipment and supplies in good working order
• Provide AHA Instructor Training and support with monitoring for AHA Instructor renewals
• Manage and support CHCO RQI system administrator
• Manage, schedule, and arrange TNCC/ENPC courses with outside provider
• Invoice providers and external students for courses

Minimum Qualifications

• Degrees- Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field
• Experience- Five (5) years of experience directly providing healthcare in a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapy, Emergency Medicine Technician, or Paramedic role. One (1) year of experience as an AHA instructor.
• Licenses & Certifications- BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA) with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
• Current Colorado Driver’s License with good driving record
• ACLS or PALS Instructor certification
