Regular Primary Function

Yulista Contract Services provides full on-site / off-site maintenance flight/Functional Check Flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.

Areas for Support

  • Completion of maintenance test flights
  • Functional Check Flights
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility Checks (EMC)
  • Subject matter expertise on Army aviation maintenance
  • Fault isolation and troubleshooting
  • Test support missions as needed or directed

Essential Functions

  • Plan Missions
  • Conduct general and limited maintenance test flights
  • Conduct Ferry Flights
  • Conduct Electromagnetic Compatibility Checks (EMC)
  • Conduct any other test support missions as needed or directed
  • Act as a subject matter expert as needed to support the missions of the US Army Aviation Technical Test Center
  • Prepare flight plans considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, aircraft, crew capabilities, operational and training requirements and flight procedures
  • Test both normal and emergency functions of aircraft systems
  • Cookordinate and direct flight phases of test or support with other aircraft
  • Maintain flight records and reports observations made during missions
  • Provide detailed and effective communications with ground maintenance personnel on results of maintenance test, acceptance test flights and all other flights as required
  • During non-flight periods is capable of performing the duties of Technical Inspector as needed
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as deemed necessary by supervisor

Desired Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Maintenance Examiner (ME) designation
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certificate

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Meet all requirements, as rated aviator IAW service guidance for specific design, type, series aircraft for which duties are to be performed in
  • Be a graduate of the Army Maintenance Test Pilot Course or completed an equivalency evaluation conducted by the Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization (DES) for AH-64
  • Have a minimum of 10 years experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Have a minimum of 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command time (300 hours must be in AH-64)
  • Have at least a FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • Hold a valid, current FAA or military Class II Medical Certificate
  • Be a US Citizen
  • Have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
