Agronomy Operations Specialist

Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation
• Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers
• Aid in establishing and implementing short-term goals that align with long-range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel
• Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations
• Aid with handling tasks for assigned accounts

Skills And Qualifications

• Understand basic business principals of inventory management and personnel supervision
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and category 1A applicators license, or ability to obtain
• Excellent customer relations and service skills
• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team player and enjoy contributing to a successful operation and company
• Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers
• Relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility
• Farming experience helpful
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
