About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of research-based educational programs designed to enhance the productivity and profitability of row crop systems in the state.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver educational programs focused on sustainable agriculture practices.
- Conduct research and provide technical assistance to farmers and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with extension colleagues and partners to implement integrated pest management strategies.
- Write and publish research findings and educational materials.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in agricultural education and outreach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of row crop systems and sustainable agriculture practices.
- Experience with educational programming and outreach.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
