About the role

QIMA provides solutions for the food industry from farm to fork, including GFSI-recognized certifications (PrimusGFS, GLOBALG.A.P., SQF, BRCGS, IFS), third- and second-party food safety audits, ethical audits, quality seals, inspections, training, and supply chain management. As part of the QIMA Group since 2019, we operate offices in Brazil, the United States, and Mexico, with a network of auditors across multiple countries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct food safety inspections/audits following QIMA/WQS and scheme owner rules.
• Develop inspection/audit reports within a determined timeframe.
• Summarize and evaluate inspection/audit findings.
• Communicate findings/results of inspections/audits with client representatives.
• Develop effective audit plans for the completion of assigned inspections/audits within a determined timeframe.

Requirements

• Education: Agricultural/crop-based or food-related subject with a minimum duration of 2 years.
• Experience: 5 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in the agricultural sector.
• Location: Must live in the California area.
• Familiarity with GLOBALG.A.P. and PrimusGFS (PGFS) schemes.

Qualifications

• Desirable: 16-hour or 2-day HACCP course based on Codex.
• Desirable: Lead Auditor Course (one week/40 hours or equivalent, e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 22000).
• Desirable: Food Hygiene Training (minimum 8 hours) covering site management, water, fertilizer, equipment, facilities, personal hygiene, and practical case studies (e.g., FSMA Produce Safety Rule training).
