Agricultal Mechanic 3 position available at Amalgamated Sugar Company in Nyssa, OR. The role involves maintenance and construction of sugarbeet pilers.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety at all times
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Possess basic mechanical skills, knowledge of power tools, welding, steel cutting, and the ability to read measuring devices
• Provide your own mechanic’s hand tools for daily use
• Communicate clearly in both oral and written form
• Routinely climb stairs and ladders
• Work in extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors
• Read and understand written instructions, including safety procedures, signs, schedules, MSDS, and manufacturing standards
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards
• Be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass Math, Reading, and Bennett Mechanical tests at CSI
• Hold a Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card or obtain both within 6 months of hire
