About the role

Assess and manage agricultural loan applications, helping farmers and agri-businesses thrive. Analyze farm and ranch financial information, agricultural production data, and industry trends to provide recommendations and decisions on credit actions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze farm and ranch financial information, crop and livestock production data, and identify historical trends.
  • Synthesize complex financial information into clear, understandable analysis.
  • Manage workflow to ensure response (approve, decline, or other contact) within required timelines.
  • Inspect farm and ranch operations in person to obtain key information related to management and asset quality, when necessary.
  • Exhibit creativity in developing solutions that meet client needs and fit within program guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal staff and external partners.
  • Maintain contact with various loan conduits in the industry.
  • Process and underwrite loans consistent with corporate standards through verification and due diligence.
  • Exhibit qualities consistent with company philosophies to ensure exemplary service to all parties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field.
  • Preferred: Agricultural experience and/or background.
  • Preferred: Experience with commercial lending concepts.

Skills

  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.

  • Ability to learn products, lending standards, and guidelines and how to apply them.

Physical Demands & Requirements

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently.
  • Ability to stand or sit constantly/continuously.
  • Hearing: perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Environmental Conditions

  • Work primarily indoors in a normal office environment with limited extremes in heat or cold and moderate noise.
  • Travel required regionally and nationally (up to 25%) for producer visits, educational development, or training.

Pay

Expected base pay range for this role is $71,939.00 - $94,960.00. Actual pay offered may vary depending on work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience.
