About the role
Southern States Toyotalift is hiring Forklift Technicians to service and maintain a wide range of material handling equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and warehouse automation systems. Technicians will work across Georgia and Central Florida, supporting industries such as agriculture, beverage, distribution, manufacturing, and concrete.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Service internal combustion (IC) cushion, pneumatic, and electric forklifts, including Toyota, JLG, PowerBoss, Autocar, Columbia, Combilift, Bendi, Drexel, and Manitou brands.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and manufacturer standards.
- Provide on-site and in-shop repairs for customers across diverse industries.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to deliver custom warehouse solutions and fleet management services.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Requirements
- Certification or prior experience as a forklift or heavy equipment technician.
- Knowledge of IC cushion, LPG, diesel, and electric forklift systems.
- Familiarity with aerial lifts, warehouse automation, and industrial floor cleaning equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various environmental conditions.
